HISTORY

Nirmala College Ranchi, a Christian Minority Institution affiliated by Ranchi University . It was founded in August 1969 by the Society of Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary. The Society exercises its responsibility over Nirmala College through a Governing Body. The college is established with the primary purpose of providing catholic young women of this area the opportunity of higher learning offered in a sprit and atmosphere of Christian simplicity, sincerity, concern and faith. The College also welcomes student of all other communities irrespective of caste and their belief is fully respected. Nirmala College is a premier institution of the State of Jharkhand , imparting quality education and has remained a center of excellence till this day. This is a minority educational institution. It has been accredited by NAAC with GRADE B+.

The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary founded by Fr. Peter Joseph Triest in Belgium in 1903 and established in India in Dalhousie in 1901 is missioner to reveal that God is love. Our mission Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary is to reveal that God is love.

VISION

Our educational apostolate therefore aims at creating a human society free from prejudices, superstitions and discriminations based on sex, religion, caste and economic status leading to concern for another, especially the underprivileged.

To implement this vision, the Congregation expects the collaboration of a supportive and inspiring management, a dedicated and united staff, concerned parents and valued assistance of the students both past and present, of the neighboring community and government authorities

To offer students a milieu conductive to their integral development in which they will find respect for desirable personal and social values of life. To train students to become capable and responsible citizens.To faster and promote the ideas of unity in diversity, harmony, peace and justice among students who hail from all sections of Indian society.
